All of you are quite familiar with “speed dating”. Speed dating is actually a formalized matchmaking process or dating system to encourage people to meet a large number of new people. It was originally started to help Jewish singles meet and marry. The first speed-dating event took place at Pete’s Café in Beverly Hills in late 1998.

It invites an equal number of men and woman to a location and set up a system where each man has 5-10 minutes to speak to each woman. You need to judge your partner in this short duration of time, hence the name “speed dating”. After the time limit the woman stay where they are seated and the men move to the next table. This process continues until each of the couples has had their date.

Pay loads of attention to your body language. If you lean forward slightly, you’ll convey interest. Keep you hands free and on the table. Gesturing some during conversation is fine and can help you make a dynamic point, but don’t flail about. It is very important to focus on the person you are dating with. Discuss about tings that might initiate healthy and interesting conversations.

In speed dating you need to judge a person in just few minutes. So, a number of things need to be kept in mind. Although looks might not be the priority of most of the people but looking good won’t harm. Take care in your appearance on the night of the speed dating event and be sure to smile. Be sure to ask engaging, open-minded questions so that it arouses the interest of your partner.

Finally, don’t take your speed date as a challenge. Just consider this as an opportunity to meet interesting people and make loads of good friends. If a few dates come out of it, they will be a wonderful bonus!

Since ancient times, mistletoe has been one of the most paranormal, inexplicable and sacred plants of European folklore. European mistletoe, Viscum album, figured outstandingly in Greek mythology, and is believed to be The Golden Bough of Aeneas, ancestor of the Romans. Mistletoe, also known as Celtic-All-Heal was popular by the 19th century.

Even though many sources claim that kissing under the mistletoe is a purely English custom, there’s another, more amiable explanation for its origin extending back into Norse mythology. Mistletoe was considered as a symbol of peace by the Norsemen and if they encountered growing mistletoe nearby, they kissed and made up for the fight. In fact, it is said that they even put away their weapons and rested to fight for another day.

Another belief states that, this custom was widespread among the Anglo-Saxons, and was connected to the legend of Freya, goddess of love, beauty and fertility. According to this custom, a man had to kiss a girl who, without realizing it, found herself accidentally under a sprig of mistletoe hanging from the ceiling.

Mistletoe is commonly used for Christmas decorations and is displayed along with Christmas holly, laurel, rosemary, yews, and boxwood bushes and, of course, the Christmas tree. Mistletoe is an evergreen displayed during the Christmas season and symbolic of the eventual rebirth of vegetation that will occur in spring.

The mistletoe is still hung in farmhouses, kitchens and various places inside a home, as a symbol of love and respect for the ancient tradition. This custom has been preserved even till now and will be done in future also. So, have fun while kissing under the mistletoe!

Are you sick of your relationship? Are you tired of repeated quarrels or arguments? Do you think that your relationship is a burden on you? Well, if your answers to these questions are ‘yes’, then its high time that you think seriously about it. Every relationship goes through problems and troubles, but you need to think beyond it, to have a successful relation.

First of all you need to understand that the two people involved in a relationship are different individuals. They have their own thinking, personal views and opinions. Therefore, it is very important to respect the individuality of every person. If you have different views on a particular matter, then you should try to sort out the mutual differences and come to a common conclusion.

Once we get in a relationship, we tend to take the other person for granted. Never do this! It hampers your partner’s self confidence and esteem. Always make your partner realize that he/she is good and this will increase respect for you in their minds. Be open to discuss the problem. Shouting and screaming at each other will not solve the problem, it will only increase it. Sit down together and address each others’ issues. You will certainly find a solution.

At the end of the day, all you really want is peace of mind because this is the basis of all happiness. Dealing with relationships that are mutual is not a piece of cake and, if your union is built on the wrong foundation, it is just a matter of time before you find yourself picking the pieces.

If you are not able to deal with such problems, it would be good to take help of professionals. They have experience and, even a deeper understanding on the reason or cause for the problem. It might prove to be very expensive but, you can go online for free information and help. There are numerous resources that will play a pivotal role to ensure that your relationship is restored.

Life is as beautiful as you make it!

Blind Dating is not a new concept and has gained a lot of popularity over the years. Some people dread the idea of going on a blind date, while others find it equally exciting and thrilling. Despite the dates that go wrong, blind dating does not need to be distressing and it can be quite pleasant.

There are number of ways to successful blind date. Firstly, plan your blind date procedure a few days ahead and let the plans go around in your mind so that you know what to do and how to deal with situations that may arise. Secondly, wear your best outfit and try to style yourself, in order to leave a good impression!

There are some things to be kept in mind before going on a blind date. Firstly, never bring along any friend on a blind date. Your date may think that you are too weak to take decisions and are emotionally insecure. Choose the best outfit you have! Dress to illustrate a sense of openness and a little playfulness without seeming too presumptuous. Everyone knows that, “the first impression is the last impression”. So, dress to kill!

The next important thing to remember is to be polite and courteous on your date. Don’t try to be someone else. Be genuine and don’t try to fake. Your date will get to know if you are faking! Arrive well in time, so that you are confident about how to carry out things. Arriving late shows that you are not interested in the date.

Keep an open mind. Even though you may have acquired a lot of information on the person, remember you want to hear your date’s story from your date’s mouths. Stay careful of what you are talking about and give your date an equal time to talk about her.

Have fun on your blind date!
